Al Gharafa qualify for quarterfinals at Arab championship

Morocco: Qatar’s Al Gharafa defeated Morocco’s Royal Army Club (FAR Rabat) 64-60 at Fathallah Bouzawy Arena in Sale to qualify for the quarterfinals of the 30th Arab Basketball Championship.

In their earlier matches at the 12-team competition, Gharafa defeated Oman’s Nizwa 91-51, before losing to a Lebanon’s Homenetmen 68-80.

Gharafa, who were third at the 2016 edition of the championship, will take on last season’s runners-up Sale of Morocco in the last eight.
