Al Arabi overcome Al Khor 101-82 in Qatar League

DOHA: Al Arabi overcame Al Khor 101-82 in their 10th match of the Qatar Basketball League at the Al Gharafa Club Indoor Hall.

Mohammed Harat, who had a game-high 34 points, and forward Miroslav Todic combined for 66 points to help Arabi register their eighth victory. The fourth triumph in succession took Al Arabi to the top of the table with 18 points from 18 matches.

Arabi dominated in the first and fourth quarters while Al Khor, riding their 17-point run, erased a big 16-point deficit from 46-62 to grab a one-point advantage in the exciting third quarter.

However, Khor could not hold onto their charge and Al Arabi ended the session five points clear, before piling pressure on the rivals in the final 10 minutes and holding off the opponents.

Harat completed his double with 11 rebounds, while Todic secured 32 points and 17 rebounds. Guard Khaled Abdelbaset added 19 points for the winners.

For Khor, the best efforts came from guard Madrious Gibbs (22 points and 9 nine assists) and Malcolm Bernard (21 points). Forward Aladji Magassa had a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds.

In another match, Al Sadd tasted their first win after 10 defeats when the former champions downed Qatar Sports Club 84-78.
