QFA participates in AFC Financial Committee meeting in Kuala Lumpur

KUALA LUMPUR: The Qatar Football Association (QFA) took part in the sixth meeting of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Financial Committee held on Wednesday in Kuala Lumpur.

QFA Secretary-General Mansoor Al Ansari represented the association in his capacity as a committee member. The meeting formed part of the committee’s scheduled sessions for the first half of 2026.

Members ratified the minutes of the previous meeting held last December and reviewed the agenda for the sixth session. The committee endorsed the external auditor’s report and referred it to the Audit and Compliance Committee, along with other relevant financial matters.

Discussions covered the comprehensive income statement, revenues and broadcasting production costs, administrative and special project expenses, salaries and benefits, as well as development, education and membership enhancement programmes.

Participants reviewed the AFC’s financial performance over the previous period and reaffirmed their support for the implementation of the confederation’s financial plans and programmes.They also discussed ways to ensure the continued delivery of competitions and activities across all categories while striving for further success at the continental level.
