Samba secures season-best to finish second in Paris Diamond League

PARIS: Qatari hurdler Abderrahman Samba delivered an impressive performance at the Paris Diamond League on Friday, finishing second in the men’s 400m hurdles with a season-best time of 47.09 seconds.

Samba was narrowly edged out by American Rai Benjamin, who clocked a winning time of 46.93 seconds. Benjamin’s compatriot, CJ Allen Bassett, completed the podium with a time of 48.14 seconds.

The race marked a significant step forward for Samba, who showed glimpses of his top form with his fastest time of the year across all competitions, boosting his confidence ahead of the Olympic season.(QNA)
