Qatar SC clinch QTTA Cup after thrilling final against Al Rayyan

DOHA: Qatar SC emerged victorious in the Qatar Table Tennis Association (QTTA) Cup for the 2024-2025 sports season, defeating Al Rayyan 3-2 in a closely contested final at the Ras Abu Aboud Training and Preparation Center. The tournament saw the participation of nine clubs, with Qatar SC claiming the title after a series of dominant performances.

Qatar SC displayed exceptional form throughout the competition, securing a 3-0 win over Al Sadd in the quarterfinals before overcoming Al Arabi 3-1 in the semifinals. In the final, they edged past Al Rayyan in a tense encounter to lift the trophy.

Al Rayyan also impressed in the tournament, defeating Al Wakrah 3-0 in the quarterfinals and Al Khor 3-0 in the semifinals. However, they fell short in the final, settling for second place.

Meanwhile, Al Arabi secured third place after a commanding 3-0 victory over Al Khor in the bronze medal match.(QNA)
