Mohanad decides to return to Qatar after loan period
DOHA: Iraq international Mohanad Ali, who was loaned to Portuguese side Portimonense, has decided to return to Qatar next month after his loan period with the club ends.
On 15 July 2019, the 19-year-old signed a five-year contract with Duhail. He made his debut for in the AFC Champions League against Al Sadd on August 6, coming on as a second-half substitute.
The striker scored his first goal with a solo effort after dribbling past Kara Mbodji and George Kwasi in the 89th minute on October 3, coming on as a substitute in 71st minutes, in a 2–1 home win against Al Sailiya.
Mohanad, who was sent on loan to Primeira Liga side Portimonense for the rest of the 2019–20 season, indicated he has also received offers from Al Sailiya, Al Arabi and Al Wakrah besides offers from clubs in Kuwait,Argentina and Saudi Arabia.
