Umm Salal back to winning ways

Doha: Umm Salal defeated Al Khor 1-0 on Friday to put their QNB stars League campaign back on track.

Mohammed El Sayed scored the winner for Umm Salal toe-poking the ball into the net from close range after his initial effort was saved by goalkeeper Amine Lecomte.

Umm Salal now have 13 points and are now fourth in the table.

In another match, Al Arabi and Al Ahli played out a 2-2 draw.

Arabi took the lead twice in the match, through Ammar Jemal and Mardik Mardikian, but goals from Fareed Ibrahim and Meshal Budawood helped Ahli take a share of the spoils.
