Supreme Committee honoured

The Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC) won a major sustainability award at the fifth anniversary of Tarsheed, the National Programme for Conservation and Energy Efficiency launched by the Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa).

SC Secretary General Hassan Al Thawadi received the award for ‘best government corporation applying Tarsheed practices’ from Prime Minister and Interior Minister HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani.

The SC has taken steps to promote sustainability, the fourth pillar of Qatar National Vision 2030, through various means. It had teamed up with Kahramaa to launch Tarsheed 22 with an aim to inspire children, aged between seven and 12, at 22 primary schools across Qatar to save energy through awareness programmes, with football as the theme.
