Spurs secure loan deal for Tel from Bayern Munich

LONDON: Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the signing of French forward Mathys Tel on a loan deal from Bayern Munich until the end of the season. The Premier League club announced the move on Monday.

Tel, who joined Bayern Munich from Stade Rennes in 2022, initially signed a four-year deal before extending his contract until 2029 last year. Despite scoring 16 goals in 83 appearances for the German giants, the 19-year-old has struggled to secure a regular starting position.

This season, Tel has made just two starts in the Bundesliga and featured as a substitute in six league games without finding the back of the net. Spurs will be hoping the young forward can rediscover his scoring form and add depth to their attacking lineup.
