Spanish second division club sign Ahmed Moeen

Doha: Spanish second division club Cultural Leonesa, which is owned by Aspire Zone Foundation, has signed Qatar’s Olympic team captain and national team midfielder Ahmed Moeen on loan from Al Duhail on Monday.

The club, founded in 1923, is based in Leon in the autonomous community of Castile and Leon.

The 21-year-old is currently recuperating from a shoulder injury suffered during the AFC U23 qualifying tournament here in July.

Another Qatari international Ahmed Yasser, who is currently training with the national team for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, was signed by the same club last month.
