LEKHWIYA 10 AL SHAHANIYA 0
Moroccan striker Youssef El Arabi pumped in three goals (23rd, 66th and 83rd) as Lekhwiya routed Shahaniya to climb to the top. Youssef Msakni (27th and 71st) and Almoez Ali (39th and 74th) netted a brace each while Chico Flores (second), Nam Tae-Hee (78th) and Ali Afif (80th) scored one apiece.
AL WAKRAH 5 AL SAILIYA 1
Striker Mahir Yousef netted a first-half hat-trick (10th, 20th, 41st) as Wakrah handed Sailiya a 5-1 drubbing. Moroccan playmaker Mouhcine Moutouali set the tone for Wakrah by converting from the spot as early as the second minute. Paraguayan midfielder Pablo Zabellos (14th) too found the target for the winners while Faouzi Ayesh pulled one back in the 61st.
AL KHOR 2 AL RAYYAN 1
Champions Rayyan’s title hopes suffered another jolt when they let slip a one-goal lead to go down to Khor. Uruguayan defender Gonzalo Viera headed Rayyan in front in the 24th while Musab Abdulmajid equalised in the 82nd. Babou Sidiki, who joined Khor from Rayyan this season, stunned the Lions by swirling home in the 88th.
AL ARABI 3 UMM SALAL 1
Arabi came from behind to defeat Umm Salal. Hilal Mohammed gave the men in orange the lead in the 45th but Imoh Ezekiel (46th), Luis Jimenez (50th) and Boualem Khoukhi (88th) helped Arabi to an easy win.
MUAITHER 0 AL AHLI 2
Muaither held Ahli goalless until half-time, but let in two goals in a span of seven minutes, from John Benson (48th) and Firmin Mubele (55th) to go down. The defeat pushed the promoted side to the bottom of the table.
AL GHARAFA 0 AL KHARAITIYAT 2
Kharaitiyat shocked in-form Gharafa. Mehadi Al Khamasi put Kharaityat in front as early as the fourth minute while Mohammed Abdullah doubled the lead in the 50th.
EL JAISH 1 AL SADD 1
Jaish rallied to hold 10-man Sadd. Hassan Al Haidous gave Sadd the lead in the 32nd while Sardor Rashidov equalised in the 43rd. Sadd defender Morteza Mohammed brought down Romarinho during a goal-bound move and went out seeing a second yellow card in the 66th, but the Wolves held firm to walk away with a point.
