Qatar U-19 team lose to Ivory Coast

Doha: Qatar Under-19 team lost 0-1 to Ivory Coast in their last match of the Four-Nation Tournament at the Aspire Academy Grounds.

In another match, Uruguay beat Vietnam 2-1.

Earlier in the tournament, Qatar had defeated Vietnam 4-1 but lost to Uruguay 2-3.

The tournament was organised to give Qatar players match practice ahead of the AFC U-19 Championship to be played in Indonesia next month.

Qatar, the Asian U-19 champions in 2014, will now take on Iran in a friendly on October 2 followed by a clash against Jordan on October 5.

At the AFC U-19 Championship to be held from October 18, Qatar are in Group A alongside hosts Indonesia, Chinese Taipei and the UAE.
