Qatar Olympic team meet Kyrgyzstan today

Doha: Qatar Olympic team coach Felix Sanchez will be keen to iron out some flaws when the hosts play another round of friendlies before the AFC U-23 World Cup qualifiers next month.
A ‘mini-competition’ involving the hosts, Jordan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan will start today till July 7.
The Annabis will meet Kyrgyzstan today then play against Uzbekistan on July 2 and Jordan on July 4.
The hosts had beaten Singapore 3-0 and 2-0 and notched up a 3-0 win against the Koreans as a part of the team’s preparation for the AFC U-23 Championship before the Eid break, but the Spaniard would still want to strengthen and instill a sense of confidence in the boys.

Qatar is clubbed with Syria, India and Turkmenistan in Group C of the Asian qualifiers and open their campaign against Turkmenistan on July 19.
