Qatar drawn with Iraq, Bahrain and Yemen in GCC Cup

Doha: Hosts Qatar was drawn with Iraq, Bahrain and Yemen in Group A after the draws for the 23rd Gulf Cup was held at the Four Seasons Hotel here on Monday..
The draw was conducted by Hamad Al Mannai, Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation (AGCFF) Competitions Director.
Saudi Arabia, Oman and United Arab Emirates are clubbed in the other group while Kuwait would be the fourth team should FIFA lift their suspension
before the competition, which will be held here from December 23 to January 5.
The new logo AGCFF was unveiled and a short film, which documented the history of the tournament since its first edition, was shown before the draw ceremony.
The Qatar Football Association (QFA) President Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, who is also the AGCFF President, Qatar Olympic Committee Secretary General Dr Thani Al Kuwari, QFA vice-president Saoud Al Mohannadi, AGCFF Secretary General Jassim Al Rumaihi and QFA General
Secretary Mansoor Al Ansari were the top dignitaries who were present at the function.
