Qatar announce final squad for Copa America
Doha, Qatar: Al Duhail SC duo of Ismael Mohamed and Sultan Al Brake were left out as Qatar coach Felix Sanchez announced the final squad of 23 players for the Copa America to be held in Brazil from June 14 to July 7.
Abdulrahman Mohamed of al Ahli, Musab Khater of al Arabi and Abdul Aziz Al Ansari of Al Kharaitiyat also failed to find a place in the final squad.
Qatar are in Group B of the Copa America where their first match is against Paraguay on June 16.
They meet their other Group B rivals Colombia on June 20 and Argentina on June 23.
Al Annabi will play a friendly against Brazil at the historic Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro on June 5.
They will also play a closed-doors match against a Brazilian club side on June 9.
