Markhiya, Kharaitiyat advance in Emir Cup

Doha: Al Markhiya stormed past Al Shamal 4-1 on Tuesday to enter the second round of Emir Cup.

Mohamed Salah Al Neel scored a brace for Markhiya while Eric de Oliveira Pereira also put in a classy performance, scoring a goal and setting up one for his attacking partner. Leonardo Henrik de Souza scored Markhiya’s other goal, from the penalty spot.

Mohamed Hares scored Shamal’s only goal.

In another match, Al Kharaitiyat beat Al Shahania 3-1. Tiberkanine Rachid (2) and Mohamed Al Yazidi found the target for Kharaitiyat while Vasquez Luciano Vlaudio scored for Shahania.

In the second round, Markhiya will take on Al Khor on April 28 while Kharaitiyat play Umm Salal on April 29.
