Laudrup may join Ajax
FORMER Qatar Stars League champions Al Rayyan may find it tough to hold on to coach Michael Laudrup as the Dane is strongly linked with the vacant post at Ajax Amsterdam.
The leading Dutch club are without a coach after native Peter Bosz, who guided them to the Europa League final last month, recently left for German side Borussia Dortmund.
Laudrup, who joined Rayyan early last season, is one of the many names Ajax are reportedly considering and the 52-year-old got a big endorsement from Ronald Koeman, the present Everton manager.
Koeman, who was Laudrup’s team-mate at Barcelona, said the latter would fit in at Ajax as he favours an attractive style of play.
“It would make sense to me if they were looking at Laudrup,” he told De Telegraaf. “Swansea were playing some very nice attacking football under him and weren’t afraid to take on the big guns by playing their own game.”
