Lamouchi linked with Liege job

FRENCH coach Sabri Lamouchi, who still has a year left in his contract with now-defunct El Jaish Sports Club, is linked with the vacant post at Standard Liege.

The 10-time Belgian league champions have been without a coach since Serb Aleksandar Jankovic was fired mid-April after they finished ninth under him.

Former France international Lamouchi, who managed the Ivory Coast national team at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, had won the Qatar Cup last year with Jaish and guided them to the AFC Champions League semifinal.
