Khoukhi doubtful for Sadd’s Champions League match against Al Wasl

Doha: Boualem Khoukhi is doubtful for Al Sadd’s next AFC Champions League fifth-round match against UAE’s Al Wasl on April 2.

Khoukhi, who collided with a rival player, was injured during their QNB Stars League match against Al Khor last week.

The team has started preparations with only nine players as the rest are away on international duty with the Qatar national team in Basra, Iraq, in a tournament which also features the hosts and Syria.

Ali Asadallah, Jugurtha Hamroun, Xavi Hernandez, Hamed Ismail, Ahmed Sayar, Jehad Mohammed, Yasser Abubakr, Ali Faridoun and Musab Khader took part at the training session under head coach Jesualdo Fereira.
