Kharaitiyat shock Gharafa; Jaish hold Sadd

DOHA: Al Kharaitiyat shocked in-form Al Gharafa 2-0 in a 13th-round match of the Qatar Stars League on Thursday.

Mehadi Al Khamasi put Khariaityat as early as the fourth minute while Mohammed Abdullah made it 2-0 in the 50th. Kharaitiyat climbed to 10th in the table while Gharafa stayed fourth.

Meanwhile, El Jaish held 10-man Al Sadd 1-1.

Hassan Al Haidous put Sadd in front in the 32nd while Sardor Rashidov equalised in the 43rd.

Sadd defender Morteza Mohammed brought down Romarinho during a goal-bound move in the 66th and went out seeing a second yellow card, but the Wolves held firm to walk out with a point.

Al Arabi came from behind to defeat Umm Salal 3-1.

Hilal Mohammed gave the men in orange the lead in the 45th while Imoh Ezekiel (46th), Luis Jimenez (50th) and Boualem Khoukhi (88th) helped Arabi to an easy win.

Elsewhere, Al Ahli blanked Muaither 2-0.

John Benson (48th) and Firmin Mubele (55th) scored as the Brigadiers climbed to eighth in the standings.
