Ismail scores the winner as Duhail beat Zob Ahan
Doha: Ismail Mohammed scored the winner as Al Duhail SC defeated Iran's Zob Ahan 1-0 at Foolad Shahr Stadium, Isfahan, Iran, to continue their unstoppable run in the AFC Champions League on Tuesday.
It was a fifth straight victory in the Champions League for Duhail, who had already booked their berth in the last 16 and Djamel Belmadi’s men will now shift their focus to Qatar Stars League where the new champions — unbeatable so far domestically as well — are all set to prove themselves invincibles as they take on Al Sailiya in their final match.
Duhail were without their attacking duo of Youssef Msakni and Youssef El Arabi against the Iranians but they still possessed enough firepower to continue their amazing run.
Duhail, who sealed the top spot in Group A will now host Al Wahda in their final group game. Zob Ahan, meanwhile, will look to defeat PFC Lokomotiv in Tashkent to secure their own place in the knockout stage.
