Inter Clinch 20th Serie A Title in Heated Victory over Milan

MILAN: Inter Milan secured their 20th Serie A title in a heated clash against AC Milan, triumphing 2-1 in a tense encounter that saw three red cards in stoppage time.

Francesco Acerbi and Marcus Thuram found the net for Inter, while Fikayo Tomori pulled one back for Milan late in the game. The match was marked by intense emotions and physicality, with tensions boiling over in the dying moments.

The victory solidifies Inter’s dominance in the league, holding a commanding 17-point lead over second-placed Milan with just five matches remaining. For manager Simone Inzaghi, this triumph marks his first Serie A title in his managerial career and the sixth trophy with Inter.

Reflecting on the win, Inzaghi credited the players, directors, and chairman Steven Zhang for their contributions to the team’s success. “There are so many protagonists of this success, first and foremost the players, but also the directors and chairman Steven Zhang, as anything we needed during this journey was provided for us,” he said.

The match kicked off with intense exchanges, with both teams engaging in physical battles from the outset. Tempers flared early on following a late challenge on Inter’s Nicolo Barella, setting the tone for a fiercely contested encounter.

As the final whistle blew, Inter emerged victorious, sealing their status as Serie A champions in a memorable clash against their city rivals.
