Injured Iraq midfielder Saad Natiq out of Gulf Cup

Doha, Qatar: Iraq's Saad Natiq had to undergo a nose surgery after a bad challenge during the match against the UAE at Khalifa International Stadium on Friday, which Iraq won 2-0.

A medical checkup had revealed three breaks in the Natiq's nose, in addition to injuries to his gum and upper lip. Al Shorta defensive midfielder Natiq will be out for the rest of the tournament.

Iraqi, who have already booked their place in the semifinals, are allowed to call up a player as a replacement per the regulations of the competition.
