Iniesta to join Al Rayyan?

Doha: Speculation is rife that Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta may join Al Rayyan this season.
The 33-year-old, who has been with the Spanish side since he was 12, only has one year left on his current contract and a new deal has not been agreed, with the club considered selling him before new coach Ernesto Valverde stepped in.
“My intention is, at least, to finish the contract that I have and that’s what I want to do,” Iniesta told RAC1 recently. “There’re always possibilities. It’s a question of assessing everything. I’m not saying if I’m going to renew or not.”
While his extension of stay at Camp Nou is not yet confirmed, Rayyan, who finished third in the Qatar Stars League last season, want to hire him as their fourth overseas player on a three-year deal.
Moroccan Abderazzak Hamdallah, Uruguayan Gonzalo Vieira and South Korean Koh Myong-Ji are the other foreigners, and the 2015-16 league champions are hoping to complete the overseas player quota soon.
