India’s blind team enjoy special trophy experience
Doha: The FIFA U-17 World Cup, which is currently on a tour in India, visited the National Association of the Blind (NAB) office in Mumbai, where the blind footballers got a feeling of the trophy on Thursday.
“These players are true achievers. The sheer joy and happiness the team felt at being a part of something so historic is truly indescribable,” NAB India Secretary General Satya Kumar Singh said in a statement on FIFA website
India is hosting the mega event next month.
“We believe the World Cup Trophy experience should be for everyone. Sport allows us to push our limits and enable us to go beyond what we feel we can attain,” said Country Director at American India Foundation Nishant Pandey.
The Trophy Experience will move on to Goa September 19.
