Arsenal unfazed by Haaland’s goal-scoring prowess, says Jorginho

LONDON: Arsenal’s players remain unshaken by Erling Haaland’s rampant goal-scoring form, as midfielder Jorginho expressed confidence ahead of their Premier League showdown against Manchester City on Sunday. City, with a perfect league campaign so far, have been propelled by Haaland’s nine goals in four games, including two hat-tricks.

The Norwegian striker, who has scored 99 goals in just 103 appearances for City across all competitions, is eyeing his 100th goal in Wednesday’s Champions League clash against Inter Milan, while Arsenal are set to begin their European campaign against Atalanta before meeting City at the Etihad.

“Erling scoring again… it is starting to make us laugh,” said Jorginho, emphasizing that the Gunners are not intimidated by Haaland’s remarkable numbers. “We watch all the games, but it doesn’t get to our head. We need to focus on us.”

Jorginho also praised Arsenal’s improved mentality this season, pointing to their gritty 1-0 win over Tottenham despite missing key players like Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice. Arsenal have secured three wins and a draw, positioning themselves as serious challengers to City’s dominance.
