Arabi held by Umm Salal

Doha, Qatar: Raul Becerra sored in the 86th minute as Umm Salal held Al Arabi to a 1-1 draw in the Qatar Stars League on Thursday.

Pierre Michel Lasogga had given Arabi the lead in the 64th minute, neatly finishing off the rebound after Yusuf Abdurisag's initial effort had hit the bar, but Becerra headed home Adel Alawi's cross from the right to put more pressure on the Reds coach Heimir Hallgrímsson.

Arabi, who have now won just one of their last nine matches in the league, losing five and drawing three, are fifth on 19 points while Umm Salal are 11th on nine.

Earlier, new signing Lucca Borges scored a double including 95th-minute equaliser as Al Khor held Al Ahli to a 2-2 draw.

Abdelrahman Moustafa (11th minute) had given Ahli the lead before Borges equalised in the 23rd.

Substitute Nabil El Zhar put Ahli again on top in the 49th minute and they came close to securing all three points but Borges lashed home an indirect freekick from inside the box.

Al Ahli now have 17 points and Al Khor 10.
