Al Sailiya beat Al Ahli; Umm Salal edge Al Kharaitiyat

Doha: Al Sailiya twice came from behind to win beat Al Ahli 4-2 and surge to the top of the QNB Stars League table on Friday.

Sailiya, with 12 points from five games, are ahead of Al Arabi, who have played six matches, only on goal difference.

Meshaal Abdulla had given Ahli the lead twice, in the 54th and 74th minutes, but goals from Majdi Siddiq (68th minute), Abdulqadir Adam (82nd), Abdulkareem Al Ali (87th) and Rachid Tiberkanine (92nd) helped Sailiya register their fourth victory.

In another match, Umm Salal pushed Al Kharaitiyat deeper into trouble with a 2-1 victory.

Kharaitiyat took the lead in the fifth minute through Mohammed Razzak, but Yannick Sagbo scored in the 19th (penalty) and 24th minutes to help Umm Salal move into sixth position, with 10 points.
