African medios join Al Wakrah

AL WAKRAH signed midfielders Youssouph Mbengue (Senegal) and Prince Oniangue (Congo) as coach Kais Yaakoubi looks to improve his side in time for the second phase.

The duo replaced Uruguayan striker Pablo Olivera and Paraguayan midfielder Pablo Zeballos, who both failed to make an impact since joining in the pre-season.

Wakrah, who showed signs of improvement under Tunisian Yaakoubi, ended the first phase on an impressive note by drubbing Al Sailiya 5-1.

Wakrah’s Deputy Football Head Mohammed Al Sulaiti said the club might sign more Qatari players in January.

“We might sign some more players, but all that depends on the needs of the team,” Al Sulaiti told www.qsl.com.qa.
