Albais expects tough test against Al-Duhail

DOHA: Umm Salal coach Ruben Albais said Umm Salal face a difficult challenge against Al-Duhail in the fifteenth round of the Doha Bank Stars League but stressed his side will approach the match with confidence and determination in pursuit of a positive result.

“We are facing a tough match against a big team like Al-Duhail, but we will work hard to overcome this challenge,” Albais said ahead of the game. “Our focus is on making a strong mental and technical impact on the players. There are clear roles for everyone on the pitch, and each player understands his responsibilities.”

Albais acknowledged the need for improvement, adding that his team must correct mistakes at a crucial stage of the season.

“Al-Duhail are a strong team with outstanding players, but every team has weaknesses and we aim to exploit them,” he said. “We will look for the available opportunities, and every player must give everything. We want to play with strength and character to achieve victory.”

Umm Salal currently sit at the bottom of the standings, a position Albais said demands a collective response.

“We believe in our ability to achieve victories in the upcoming rounds,” he added. “The team has good qualities, but we need spirit and confidence. Our situation requires us to double our efforts. We are all in the same boat, and our goal is to deliver a strong performance in every match and get out of this position.”
