DOHA: The 18th and final round of the Qatar Men’s Handball League 2024–2025 season will witness a thrilling conclusion on Sunday, with five matches scheduled across the day. The spotlight will be firmly on the much-anticipated showdown between Al Arabi and Al Rayyan, where the league title hangs in the balance.
Al Arabi, sitting atop the standings with 49 points, holds a narrow two-point lead over second-placed Al Rayyan. A win or a draw will be enough for Al Arabi to officially clinch the championship, while Al Rayyan, the reigning champions from the 2023–2024 season, must secure victory to retain their crown. Al Arabi is aiming for their third league title, whereas Al Rayyan, already the most decorated team in league history with 15 titles, is chasing yet another addition to their storied legacy.
Other matches in the final round will see third-placed Al Duhail (45 points) take on Al Shamal (ninth, 23 points), while fourth-placed Al Ahli (35 points) face seventh-ranked Al Khor (26 points). Meanwhile, Al Sadd (fifth, 35 points) will clash with Al Gharafa (sixth, 33 points), and Al Wakrah (eighth, 25 points) will meet Qatar SC (tenth, 22 points).(QNA)
