Three Qatari riders to take part in Idemitsu Asian Talent Cup

DOHA: Qatari riders Yousif Al Darwish, Saad Al Harqan and Hamad Al Sahouti will take part at the Idemitsu Asian Talent Cup (IATC), the organisers said on Friday.
The ITC acts as an Asian feeder series to MotoGP.
The three-day pre-season test of IATC started at Losail Circuit Sports Club (LCSC) on Friday.
Following a test alongside Moto2 and Moto3, which also got under way, IATC commences alongside the MotoGP season-opener here (March 26-28).
The Round 2 also takes place alongside MotoGP at the same venue for the TISSOT Grand Prix of Doha (April 2-4).

Besides the Qatari trio, riders from Australia, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Qatar, Thailand and Turkey will compete on equal Honda NSF250R Moto3 machinery to hone and improve their skills.
The countdown is on to the first two rounds of the 2021 edition, but first the grid will get suited and booted for a pre-season test to get some track time under their belts.
Following the cancellation of last year’s edition, the 2020 riders were automatically given the chance to continue in the competition.

Only five rookies joining the grid and they replaced those who have graduated or elected not to return, but all will be eager to take it to the veterans from the outset as testing begins.
