Team Qatar ready for GCC Games

DOHA: Qatar’s national delegation has reached full readiness for the upcoming GCC Games after completing all administrative and logistical preparations, a senior official said.

Najla Al Khayareen, head of the Qatari administrative delegation, said arrangements including accommodation, transport and technical support have been finalised to ensure athletes can focus fully on competition.

She said Qatar will compete in 19 sports, with athletes selected to represent the country at what she described as a key milestone ahead of future international events.

Al Khayareen also called on supporters to back the team, saying fan support would play an important role in boosting performance and achieving results.

Separately, the Organising Committee announced a list of official sponsors and strategic partners, including Hamad International Airport, Msheireb Properties, Al Kass Channel, Suhail Industrial Holding Group, Kotinos, Bornan, Al Rayyan Water, Dynamic Sports, Al Jazeera Perfumes and The Look Company.

The partnerships are aimed at supporting the delivery of the Games and enhancing engagement and overall marketing value, organisers said.
