Qatar Sports for All Federation unveils Ramadan sports calendar with 66 events

DOHA: The Qatar Sports for All Federation has announced an extensive calendar of sports tournaments and special events for the holy month of Ramadan, featuring 66 activities designed to engage all segments of society. The initiative aims to promote the value of community sports and encourage continuous participation in physical activities.

During a press conference at Lusail Sports Hall, the federation revealed an increase in activities specifically focused on women’s sports, along with a diverse range of events catering to different age groups and interests. Key events include the North Challenge Race at Heenat Salma Farm, a Muay Thai training program at Lusail Multipurpose Hall, and competitions in football, volleyball, basketball, cycling, fitness, table tennis, billiards, paddle ball, badminton, and karate. Additionally, the Ayal AlFareej Championship and a tournament for the elderly, organized in collaboration with the Ehsan Center, will be part of the Ramadan schedule.

Abdullah Al Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, highlighted the federation’s commitment to expanding its reach, emphasizing that participation in these activities is open to all. He also reiterated the priority given to women’s sports, with dedicated tournaments in football, volleyball, and badminton scheduled at the Education City Stadium every Tuesday evening.

The diverse lineup of events underscores Qatar’s commitment to fostering an active and inclusive sports culture, ensuring that all members of the community can stay engaged in fitness and recreation during Ramadan.(QNA)
