Silawi shines in Winter Hill Stakes at Windsor

LONDON: Silawi, representing Wathnan Racing, delivered an impressive performance to clinch victory in the Weatherbys Global Stallions App Winter Hill Stakes (Group 3) for three-plus-year-old thoroughbreds, run over 2,000 meters at Windsor Racecourse in England.
Trained by Hamad Al Jehani and expertly ridden by Cieren Fallon, Silawi surged past his rivals to secure first place in style.
Military Order, owned by Godolphin, trained by Charlie Appleby, and partnered by Billy Loughnane, finished a strong second, while Royal Playwright, owned by J C Smith, trained by Andrew Balding, and ridden by Rob Hornby, claimed third place.
This latest victory continues Silawi’s fine form at Windsor, following his earlier success in May when he captured the Thorn Plant Hire Limited Stakes at the same course.(QNA)
