Netherlands dominate Spain; Ireland succumb to Australia

Lausanne: The Netherlands ensured they returned to winning ways after a shoot-out loss to the hosts a couple of days ago as FIH Hockey Pro League action continued in Bhubaneswar, India on Tuesday.

The men’s tournament’s top scorer Jip Janssen added another two goals to his tally as the Dutch produced an assertive performance to beat Spain 3-0.

In the first match of the day, Ireland put up a brave fight at the start of their encounter against Australia, but could not prevent a 5-0 victory for the Olympic silver medallists.
