QOC president honours Qatar handball team

DOHA: The President of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani honored the Qatar national handball team on winning 21st Asian Mens Handball Championship in Bahrain.

Qatar beat Japan 30-24 to retain the title for the sixth consecutive time.

The team also qualified for 2025 IHF World Men’s Handball Championship, which will be held in Croatia, Denmark, and Norway.

The ceremony was also attended by Second Vice-President of QOC Dr. Thani bin Abdulrahman Al Kuwari, The Secretary-General of QOC Jassim Rashid Al Buainain, and President of the Qatar Handball Association (QHA) Ahmed Al Shaabi.
