Qatar start Asian Championship campaign with China victory

Kuwait: Qatar defeated China 49-18 in the opening Group B match in the 2020 Asian Men's Handball Championship in Kuwait on Thursday.

The competition, which concludes on January 27, also acts as a qualifier for the World Championships to be held in Egypt in 2021.

Qatar did not find any difficulty in winning the match, finishing the first half 23-8 to virtually end the game as a contest.

Qatar take onJapan in their next match on Saturday.
