
DOHA: Al Arabi strengthened their grip on the Qatar Men’s Handball League with a 26-22 victory over Al Ahli in the seventh round on Saturday.
The win kept Al Arabi unbeaten at the top of the standings with a perfect 21 points, while Al Ahli stayed fourth on 14 points.
Al Duhail climbed to second place after beating Al Gharafa 27-20 to move onto 19 points. Al Gharafa remain ninth with 10 points, one ahead of bottom-placed Al Shamal.
Al Rayyan edged Al Sadd 23-22 to reach 17 points and sit third. Al Sadd slipped to sixth on 13 points, behind Al Wakrah on goal difference after Al Wakrah’s 29-21 win over Al Shamal.
Qatar SC defeated Al Khor 29-27 to raise their tally to 13 points in seventh place, trailing Al Wakrah and Al Sadd on goal difference, while Al Khor remain eighth with 11 points.
