Victims’ father attacks Nassar in Michigan courtroom

Chicago, USA: The father of three gymnast daughters, who were sexually abused by doctor Larry Nassar, lunged at him in a Michigan courtroom on Friday, before being tackled to the ground by sheriff's deputies.

"A video of the incident shows Randall Margraves at first standing calmly and then abused Nassar. The judge said she understood his anger, but asked him not to use profanity," said in a news report published on Saturday.

Two of his daughters, Lauren and Madison, had just delivered victim impact statements. Their sister, Morgan, wrote a statement that had been read aloud during Nassar's previous sentencing hearing in Ingham County, where he was sentenced to up to 175 years in prison.

According to the website, the hearing in Eaton County Circuit Court "centered on assault charges related to abuses Nassar committed at Twistars, a gymnastics club run by former Olympic coach John Geddert."
