This is Al Muftah’s second consecutive term after he was voted to the ISF committee in 2016. Back then he was elected after the ISF election held in Besancon, France.
He has also served as the member of the executive office of the Arab Union for School Sports.
“This is the result of the support of the Qatar Olympic Committee, the President of the federation, the Secretary and their untiring work. I am honoured to represent Qatar in the executive office of the International School Sport Federation. I will strive hard to draw strategic decisions that will serve school sports," said Al Muftah.
The QOC has shown a keen interest in school sports and has conducted School Olympics over the past few years, which has seen participants from number of schools in Qatar. QOC’s aim is to implement Qatar’s vision and plans to develop school sports on a global level.
