Qatar Olympic Academy signs five-year MoU with Ministry of Culture and Sports

Doha: The Qatar Olympic Academy (QOA) has signed a five-year cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Culture and Sports to enhance the concept of training, qualification and professional development of national cadres in sports clubs and organisations, to achieve the aspirations of Qatar National Vision 2030 and the National Development Goals in the related fields of sport.

The signing was done in the presence of QOA Executive Director Saif Al Nuaimi, and Director of the Sports Affairs Department at the Ministry Isa Al Harami.

Al Nuaimi said. "The Academy is pleased to sign this agreement with the Ministry of Culture and Sports as an initiative for the Academy to enter the scope of training in the sports sectors in the country.

"The Academy hopes in the near future to provide many training courses with the Ministry of Culture and Sports and will announce in the coming days a set of courses in coordination with the Ministry to accommodate the number of trainees."

Al Nuaimi indicated that the Academy has a special agenda and a special programme in sports education management, which is an international program that is axed by the International Olympic Committee.

"The Academy has an annual agenda, and the new sessions with the Ministry will be within a special calendar for the Academy and will be in coordination with the Ministry, and the cooperation continues before the signing of the agreement that will make cooperation broad," he added.
