IHF President says Qatar can host Olympic Games

DOHA: The president of the International Handball Federation Dr. Hassan Mustafa emphasized that Qatar possesses significant expertise and is capable of easily organizing the Olympic Games.

The Asian Men’s Handball Qualifications for the Paris 2024 Olympics, which started here today, will continue until October 28.

Mustafa considered qualification for the Olympic Games as an honor for any national team due to the importance of this significant event that every ambitious athlete aspires to be a part of.

He noted that the handball qualifiers for the Olympics are held in two stages, with each continent holding separate qualifiers in the first stage. The first-placed teams in this stage directly qualify, while the teams that secure second place will participate in the second stage, scheduled for March 2024.
