UEFA awards 2027 Champions League final to Madrid

The 2027 Champions League final will be staged at Atletico Madrid’s Metropolitano Stadium, UEFA confirmed on Thursday. It will mark the venue’s second hosting of European club football’s biggest match, following Liverpool’s victory over Tottenham Hotspur there in 2019.

Baku was the other contender, but UEFA’s executive committee chose Madrid during its meeting in Tirana. This season’s final is set for Budapest on May 30, 2026.

UEFA also announced that the 2027 Women’s Champions League final will be played in Warsaw, while Salzburg will host the UEFA Super Cup in 2026.
