Trent Alexander-Arnold reportedly close to Real Madrid move

Trent Alexander-Arnold is edging closer to a move to Real Madrid when his Liverpool contract expires at the end of the season, according to reports on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old right-back has long been linked with a switch to the Bernabeu on a free transfer, and discussions between the England international and the Spanish giants are said to be progressing.
Alexander-Arnold, who has been with Liverpool for more than two decades after rising through the club’s academy, has been eligible to negotiate with overseas teams since January. He made his senior debut for the Reds in 2016 as an 18-year-old.
A key figure in Liverpool’s success under Jurgen Klopp, Alexander-Arnold has won the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, and Club World Cup. He could add another league title to his collection this season, with Arne Slot’s side sitting 12 points clear at the top of the table.
He is one of three Liverpool stars out of contract this summer, alongside Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk, whose futures remain uncertain.
Currently sidelined with an ankle injury, Alexander-Arnold missed Liverpool’s League Cup final defeat to Newcastle earlier this month.
Liverpool have not commented on the speculation surrounding his future.
