DOHA: Al Gharafa FC bowed out of the AFC Champions League after a 2-0 home defeat by Iran’s Tractor on Tuesday in the eighth and final round of the league phase.
Goals from Mehdi Hashemnejad in the 61st minute and Amir Hosseinzadeh 20 minutes later secured the win for Tractor at Thani bin Jassim Stadium.
The result left Al Gharafa FC on six points in 10th place, ending their continental campaign, while Tractor strengthened their grip on third spot with 17 points.
