Spurs cruise to 3-0 victory over 10-Man Manchester United at Old Trafford

MANCHESTER: Tottenham Hotspur delivered a commanding 3-0 victory over Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday, with Brennan Johnson, Dejan Kulusevski, and Dominic Solanke all finding the net. The win propelled Spurs to eighth place in the table with 10 points after six games, while Manchester United, reduced to 10 men after captain Bruno Fernandes was sent off in the 42nd minute, languished in 12th with seven points.

Fernandes’ dismissal came after a high challenge on James Maddison, further adding to the woes of manager Erik ten Hag. United struggled throughout, unable to cope with Tottenham’s relentless pressure, as the visitors dominated the game at Old Trafford.

Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou praised his side’s performance, saying, “I thought it was an outstanding performance. We started the game well, scored a great goal, and probably should have had two or three. After the red card, we controlled the game well.”

Tottenham took the lead in the third minute when defender Micky van de Ven surged forward, carrying the ball half the length of the pitch before sending a low cross to Brennan Johnson, who tapped in his fourth goal in as many games. Spurs’ dominance never wavered as Kulusevski and Solanke added to the tally, sealing a comfortable win.
