Senegal’s national team benefits from Saudi Pro League, says Mane

RIYADH: Al-Nassr forward Sadio Mane believes the presence of several Senegalese players in the Saudi Pro League enhances the national team due to the league’s high level of competition. Mane, a two-time African Player of the Year, has had a strong start to the season with Al-Nassr, scoring two goals and providing five assists in six matches alongside Cristiano Ronaldo.
Speaking to the Saudi Pro League, Mane said, “It’s a competitive league, so all the big players want to come, like Kalidou (Koulibaly) and Habib (Diallo). They’re all important players for our national team selection, and the fact that they’re here is beneficial for the national team.”
Mane also highlighted his friendship with Al-Ettifaq midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum, his former teammate at Liverpool, adding that their bond goes beyond football.
