Sane joins Galatasaray on free transfer from Bayern Munich

Germany international Leroy Sane has joined Galatasaray on a free transfer from Bayern Munich, the Turkish champions confirmed on Thursday.
The 29-year-old winger signed a three-year contract and will earn €9 million annually, along with a €3 million “loyalty bonus” each season.
“I’ve played here before. There was an incredible atmosphere,” Sane said upon his arrival in Istanbul. “Honestly, the fans were very loud. Now that they’re behind me, I’m very happy, and I’m very excited to play my first match here.”
Sane made 70 appearances for Germany and enjoyed a decorated club career in Europe. He won four Bundesliga titles with Bayern Munich after joining from Manchester City, where he claimed two Premier League crowns.
Last season, Sane scored 13 goals across all competitions, playing a key role in Bayern’s successful campaign to reclaim the Bundesliga title from Bayer Leverkusen.
