Ruiz’s strike secures PSG victory at Toulouse

TOULOUSE, France: Fabian Ruiz’s second-half goal secured a 1-0 win for Paris St Germain against Toulouse on Saturday, extending their unbeaten run and widening their lead at the top of Ligue 1. PSG, undefeated this season, now sit comfortably with 56 points from 22 games, 10 points clear of second-placed Olympique de Marseille.
Despite dominating the first half with chances from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Lee Kang-In, Desire Doue, and Lucas Hernandez, PSG struggled to break the deadlock as Toulouse battled to find their rhythm. The breakthrough came seven minutes into the second half when Willian Pacho’s header hit the crossbar, allowing Ruiz to slot home the rebound from close range.
Reflecting on the match, Ruiz said, “On the wings, it was hard to find space. We wanted to keep possession, we had chances and in the end, one goal was enough.”
The victory reinforces PSG’s commanding position in Ligue 1, while Toulouse remains 10th with 27 points.
